The MYTREX Medi Neck 3-in-1 Traction Device is a cervical spine-focused device that combines mechanical traction (neck stretching), EMS muscle stimulation, and thermotherapy. The combination of these three technologies, which are commonly used in physiotherapy, is its main advantage—the device does not just work on the principle of vibration or massage.
Its primary function is mechanical cervical spine traction. The device gently lifts the head and creates controlled tension on the cervical spine, increasing the space between the cervical vertebrae, reducing pressure on intervertebral discs and nerve roots, releasing muscle tension, and improving neck mobility. This principle is also used by physiotherapists during manual traction, but here it occurs automatically and in a highly controlled manner. It is suitable for conditions such as neck pain, stiff neck, long hours of computer work, forward head posture, trapezius muscle tension, or pain radiating into the shoulders.
EMS stimulation sends electrical impulses to the deeper muscles around the cervical spine. It helps activate deep stabilizing muscles, release overloaded muscles, improve blood circulation, promote regeneration, and restore proper muscle balance. Strong muscles around the neck support the correct alignment of the cervical spine—if they are weak or overloaded, pain often returns. The device offers 20 intensity levels for EMS, allowing the therapy to be customized.
Heat therapy with three heating levels dilates blood vessels, improves microcirculation, relieves spasms, reduces pain, and prepares muscles for traction. The combination of heat and traction is often significantly more effective than stretching alone. All three technologies complement each other, and each function—traction, EMS, and heat—can be used individually or all at the same time.
The design is not just a neck pillow: it is engineered to follow the natural cervical lordosis and act exactly where it needs to. Long-term use can help alleviate forward head posture, support the physiological curvature of the cervical spine, and reduce trapezius muscle strain—provided that the user also adjusts their work ergonomics and exercises accordingly.
The device is suitable for people working at computers, office professionals, drivers, individuals with chronic neck stiffness, people suffering from "text neck" due to prolonged mobile phone use, and those with poor posture. It can be very helpful for functional issues such as muscle strain, stiffness, or pain caused by poor posture. However, it is not a treatment for structural cervical spine diseases, such as significant disc herniations or advanced degenerative changes.
When it is not suitable
Do not use the device in the case of acute cervical spine injury, vertebral instability, recent surgery, severe osteoporosis, certain disc herniations with severe neurological symptoms (without medical advice), or if you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device (due to EMS).
